Interface:
The program use an MDI (Multi Document Interface) interface, a standard for this kind of programs.

File formats:
The software gives the possibility to read several new scientific file formats, strating from the classical FITS to the more complex CDF, HDF and PDS by NASA or the DICOM format, very used in medical applications. Moreover, the classical formats as JPEG, JPEG2000, TIFF, GIF, CUT, TGA, BMP, PNG, RAS, XPM, etc. have been improved.

Image visualization:
The visualization of the images is automatically fitted with the resolution of the computer's monitor. That is, you can entirely visualize big images with a simple click or vice versa you can arbitrarily enlarge small images. All this while the numerical matrix relatives to the image is always safeguarded.

Data type:
ViSTA can manage different kinds of data relatives to the image, such as the single byte with or without sign to the 8 byte pixel for floating point. Obviously, it can even manage the coloured images with 24 or 48 depth bit.

Image processing:
ViSTA allows you to use hundreds of different procedures for the image processing, such convolution and deconvolution filters, FFT, merging and much more.

Javascript:
an integrated Javascript allows you to realize powerful applications able to recall all the functions of the ViSTA and the Qt.

Grab:
Grab images from TWAIN,WDM,DirectX of any USB or Firewire camera, and also all DTA instruments.

System requirements:

The minimum requirements necessary to the good working of the program, depend on the dimension typical of the images which we will have to treat.

ViSTA requires WINDOWS XP SP3/VISTA/7

The following hardware is required:

• 512 Megabytes of RAM

• 100 Gbyte of hard-disk with ultra-wide SCSI or SATA

• 17 inch color monitor with a resolution of 1280x1024

• Graphics interface with 128 Megabytes of reserved memory.

• Wheel mouse (very important: many program functions are better managed with this type of mouse)

WARNING!!!: all DTA software has been built by Microsoft Visual C++2008, so you need to have installed  Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Setup SP1 on your computer if not already present.
May be also necessary to have installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Setup on your computer if not already present, this library is used by Graphics User Interface (Qt) in all our programs.
Also on ViSTA operating system execute the program as administrator.
